Stills & Strokes work at the threshold between photography, illustration and graphic design. They seamlessly merge analogue and digital techniques to create surreal little worlds of their own. Combining meticulous artistry with playful experimentation and a wink of the eye, Stills & Strokes expand the possibilities of commercial product presentation and bolster it with unexpected charm. The products they portray come alive as protagonists, stills become stories. Playing with perspective, materials, arrangement, lighting, and their very own way of combining creative methods, their images remind us that things can be more than they seem.

Stills & Strokes are art director Melanie Homann and photographer Stefan Vorbeck. The couple is based in Berlin.
